Parents are increasingly using in-home carers for their children for a wide variety of reasons such as:

• an inability to find a convenient day care centre or family day care option to meet their needs
• the desire to have emergency care in a crisis
• a requirement for before and after school care
• reliable responsible babysitting so that busy parents can have some fun time as well

DIAL-AN-ANGEL® specialises in finding quality carers for your children because we understand that your children are your greatest treasures. We take real pride in thoroughly screening and personally interviewing applicants who wish to become Angels. They are selected for their suitability for referrals prior to any details being divulged about the client or the client's requirements. Every applicant is interviewed personally and where State laws allow, Police clearances and 'Working with Children' Checks are undertaken.

Daytime child care

This can be a casual or regular booking of less than 15 hours over 5 weekdays. It is ideal when a parent has a regular commitment each week and is perfect for emergency care when children are too sick to attend day care, kindergarten or school.

Evening babysitting

This can be a casual or regular babysitter booking. It is usually of four to six hours duration and can involve the supervision of children, feeding and putting them to bed (if required).

Shared sits can also be arranged. When making arrangements for weekends make sure you book early to ensure availability of sitters, our Angels are very popular on weekends!

Before & after-school care

Our Angels will make sure that your ability to get out the door in the morning is made easier. They can also ensure that children make the most of any planned after school activities. Transporting them to and from appointments, music and other lessons, sporting activities, assisting with homework, and preparing nutritious after school snacks are just a few of the things they can undertake for your little ones.

Emergency care

When your planned child care arrangements fall apart and you have been let down, you don’t have to lose a day's work. DIAL-AN-ANGEL Emergency Care is as close as your phone. You can go to work knowing that your children are in caring, competent hands. DIAL-AN-ANGEL also provides this service through corporations as part of their Work-Life balance programs supporting working parents.

Emergency Angels are available for those times when:

• your child is too sick to attend school or daycare
• your regular carer is ill or on vacation
• the school or daycare centre is closed
• there are pupil-free days
• you discover you have conflicting schedules

Mothers' help

Our Angels can assist new mothers (and fathers too) with the additional workload involved with the arrival of a new baby. They may also keep the other children occupied, help with the cleaning, go to the corner shop and assist with the preparation of meals. As they have childcare aspirations but little experience, these duties should be carried out under the supervision of the parent.

Nanny or manny

Our nannies and mannies are qualified, trained and/or highly experienced child care professionals. They have well-developed childcare skills and have the time and patience to undertake this challenging and very rewarding occupation.

Nanny-housekeeper

PERMANENT PART-TIME or FULL-TIME CARE of CHILDREN in addition to undertaking general housekeeping tasks for the whole family.

Nanny sharing

Nanny Sharing is a variation on the typical nanny care arrangement, typically a live-out or daily nanny (who lives in her own home) travels each day to one household or alternates between residences if the families take turns hosting the children. Sometimes a nanny lives with one family and cares for the children of two families in that home.

Mothercraft Nursing

A Mothercraft Nurse has qualifications in Early Childhood Development or Mothercraft Nursing (ie: A Registered Nurse with additional qualifications). They may also have a Midwifery or Paediatric qualification. Mothercraft Nurses generally have five years experience in working with children from newborn infants to 5 years of age. A Mothercraft Nurse has specialist skills in: assisting parents with newborns including bathing, establishing a routine, assisting with multiple births, settling techniques and sleeping, assistance with feeding difficulties including weaning as well as post natal care of the mother and the baby.  This service is supplied on a LIVE-OUT visiting basis.

Neo-natal nurses

These are fully trained and qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) who specialise in the care of newborns suffering from specific illnesses, diseases or disabilities for a period of four to six weeks from birth. These nurses may be offered referrals and/or assignments through the Home Nursing Departments of DIAL-AN-ANGEL.

Corporate crèche staff

We can provide staff for conventions, conferences and company training sessions or meetings. Only Staff Angels© are supplied at corporate rates through our Corporate Services Department.

Group bookings

Can be organised for Weddings, Church or Synagogue services and similar functions.

Supervised contact visits

Supervised contact visits (formerly called Supervised Access) are highly specialised assignments that must not be confused with general child care and/or babysitting. They involve close supervision of the children who are visiting with a non-custodial parent. Only Staff Angels are provided.

DIAL-AN-ANGEL also provides Angels for housekeeping & home cleaning, garden & home maintenance, pet care, caretaking, aged care, in-home nursing, home & corporate functions. Medico Legal reporting may be requested and a wide range of services is available though our Corporate Services department. Gift Vouchers are also available.
